When is 12 steps program needed? Does an addict have to get 12 steps program in order be free of drug and alcohol addiction or can it be done on ones own? My father has a drug and alcohol addiction and I really want to find him a good 12 steps program center to attend. I don’t think he can break loose from this on his own even though he says he can. How can I make sure he gets the help he needs?
